Living on historic boats in the center of London

Have you ever dreamt about living on a boat, sailing away, leaving all the world behind? Even though it seems to be an idea for those wanting to cruise around the globe, or live in an abandoned corner of the Indian Ocean, in fact, soaring property prices and hectic lifestyles have led to a very tangible increasing demand in the downtown of London for houseboats.

According to figures from the Canal and River Trust, there's been a 57 per cent rise in the number of boats moored on the capital's waterways since 2012. Although an exact number is not known The London Assembly suggests the overall number of people living on London's waterways could be up to 10,000. And some of these boats turn out to be an attraction, as you can see by clicking on the video above.
