As Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's "The Odyssey" continues its god-like reign over the box office, Euronews Culture tests your knowledge of Greek mythology.

Snake-haired Gorgons, one-eyed Cyclops, beautiful men doomed by their own vanity... Greek mythology is not only foundational to Western literature, but has also served as a guidebook for humanity - endlessly fascinating in its fantastical but deeply relatable drama.

The release of Christopher Nolan's blockbuster adaptation of Homer's epic The Odyssey has reignited interest, too. Having made $264m (€232m) in its opening weekend alone, the movie looks set to be one of the biggest box office successes of 2026.

It's also inspired people to go back to the original source material, with sales of print editions reportedly rising by 700% in the UK last week. According to a piece in the Wall Street Journal, younger generations are also catching up via Wikipedia. Hey, it's better than nothing.

Whether you need a refresher, or already contain god-tier knowledge on the subject, we've put together a mini odyssey of our own: a perilous journey through the general knowledge of your psyche. Will you have the Midas touch?*

*There is no monetary reward for this quiz, just the promise of feeling like a smug Olympian if you score highly.
