Investments in highways, railways, and air transport are on the rise, with several major projects underway.
Uzbekistan is expanding its transport infrastructure to strengthen regional connectivity and support economic growth. The country boasts over 42,800 kilometres of highways and 7,400 kilometres of railways, underpinning growing trade and mobility.
In early 2025, railways carried more than 51 million tons of cargo, while Tashkent International Airport recorded a 28% rise in passengers, reaching 8.7 million in 2024. Key projects include the CASCA+ railway corridor and several other strategic initiatives.
Plans also aim to increase high-speed rail passengers to 20 million annually by 2027–2028.
