The Innovation Radar Prize winner will be announced in a month. Here’s all you need to know about this award, including how to vote for the most innovative EU-funded projects.

What is the Innovation Radar?

The Innovation Radar is an initiative by the European Commission to spot the most innovating projects being funded by the EU.

How does it work?

For two years now, the best innovators from the Radar are selected to compete for the Innovation Radar Prize.

In 2017 48 nominees are competing in five different categories.

A public vote will decide the four contestants from each category that will make it to the final.

The 20 finalists will have three minutes to pitch their projects to a panel of experts who will then pick the winners for each category.

How do I vote?

The public can vote online on the prize’s website . Voters are only allowed to vote once per candidate but can choose as many candidates as they wish.

When and where will the winners be announced?

This year, the winners for each category will be announced on 9 November 2017 at the ICT Proposers’ Day in Budapest, a networking event that focuses on European ICT Research.

Registration for the ICT Proposers Day is open and attendees of the first day of the event will be able to catch a glimpse of this year’s Innovation Radar Prize grand finale.
