Supporters from both countries expressed confidence in their teams, with many Morocco fans saying they believe this generation can finally overcome France after the 2-0 defeat in the 2022 World Cup semi-finals in Qatar.

France fans, meanwhile, said they expect one of their toughest matches of the tournament as Les Bleus look to secure a place in the last four.

The atmosphere outside the hotel was festive, with supporters chanting, waving flags and kicking a football while waiting for the team bus to depart.

Morocco became the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final in 2022 before being eliminated by France. Four years later, the two sides meet again, this time with a place in the semi-finals at stake.
