(Reuters) - Salford City, owned by members of Manchester United's 'Class of 92', beat AFC Fylde 3-0 on Saturday to win the National League playoff final and seal their first promotion to the English Football League.

Victory at Wembley Stadium ensured Salford, part-owned by six former United team mates -- Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham -- will play in League Two (fourth tier) next season.

Watched by their owners, including majority shareholder Peter Lim, Salford went ahead through Emmanuel Dieseruvwe before Carl Piergianni and Ibou Touray scored to secure a fourth promotion for the club in five years.

"It was only a dream when we first started, so to have done it is an incredible feeling," Piergianni told BT Sport. "It's an incredible feeling to play here at Wembley and to win like that -- there's no better feeling."
