Speedgolf: accelerating the 'long walk spoiled'
Speedgolf is a more athletic version of the much more leisurely game of golf, famously described as "a good walk spoiled" in a quote often, but probably falsely attributed to Mark Twain.
In Speedgolf though, there is very little walking.
Professional and amateur golfers gathered at the Piltdown Golf Club in Sussex for the British Speedgolf Open.
Players' scores combine both the total number of shots and the time taken to complete the 18-holes.
