Braving freezing temperatures in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, three models donned imitation leather dresses on Tuesday to denounce the use of animal skins in clothes and accessories.

Coinciding with Paris Fashion Week, the protest was organised by animal rights group PETA, which wants designers to use alternatives to leather.

The trio held placards shaped like tomb stones that read "Leather is dead" and "Dressing up without animal skin never killed anyone".
