Authorities in Madrid have lifted a warning to residents to remain in their homes to avoid a toxic cloud from an industrial fire.

Madrid’s Emergency Services alerted the residents of Humanes, Grinon and Moraleja de Enmedio localities of a toxic danger and asked them to stay at home.

Later in the morning the alert was removed as the fire was controlled with no danger to locals.

Forty tons of magnesium and aluminum shavings caught fire in the incident in south–east of the Spanish capital.
