A man carrying a knife has been tasered by police outside the Houses of Parliament in London.
The man was stopped just metres from where an officer was stabbed to death in a terrorist attack in March.
Officers approached him after becoming suspicious about his behavior. He reached for a knife, sparking officers to taser him.
London’s Metropolitan Police said the are not currently treating the incident as terrorist-related but remain open-minded.
The man in his 30s is being questioned by police.
A security review of the outside of the parliamentary estate has been ordered by House of Commons Speaker John Bercow.
On March 22, Khalid Masood drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, and then stabbed a policeman to death in the grounds of parliament.
