Britain's America's Cup challenge is in trouble after sail failure put Ben Ainslie two-nil down in his semi-final clash with New Zealand.

The America’s Cup semi-finals are in full swing to see which of the British, New Zealand,
Swedish or Japanese challengers will win the honour to take on the holders of the world’s
oldest sporting trophy, America’s Oracle.

Ben Ainslie is off to the worst possible start, losing the first race and now the second against
New Zealand, after the British catamaran’s wing sail snapped in mid-race. Ainslie had to immediately
abandon, or the damage could have been worse.

In the other semi it’s all square at one win each for Japan and Sweden after a thrilling day’s racing.
