US sport’s legend Arnold Palmer, regarded as one of golf’s greatest players, has died at the age of 87.

US sport’s legend Arnold Palmer, regarded as one of golf’s greatest players, has died at the age of 87.
Fondly known as the King, Palmer won more than 90 international tournaments, including seven majors.
The sporting great is credited along with his fellow American Jack Nicklaus, of attracting thousands of fans to the game.
Tributes to Palmer flooded in from the world of golf. Both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy took to tweeter to pay their respects.

Palmer, who was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 2009, had reportedly been in failing health for some time and was admitted to hospital in Pittsburgh last week with heart problems.
