Hamilton claims Austrian GP win following final lap collision with teammate Rosberg

Triple world champion Lewis Hamilton celebrated his third win of the season at the Austrian Grand Prix.

The British Mercedes driver collided with teammate and championship leader Nico Rosberg on the final lap leaving the German to nurse his damaged car over the line for fourth while Hamilton crossed over for his first win in Austria.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen were able to overtake Rosberg to claim second and third respectively.

Although Hamilton was booed on the podium for the collision he has now cut Rosberg’s overall lead to just 11 points after nine of 21 races this campaign.
