The world’s longest pizza has been made in Naples and is a staggering 1.8 kilometres long.

It was kneaded and baked in six hours and eleven minutes on the Naples seafront by 250 pizza makers from the all over the world using 2,000 kilos of flour, 1,600 kilos of tomato sauce, 2,000 kilos of mozzarella cheese, 200 litres of oil and 30 kilos of basil, using 5 wood ovens, one every 400 metres .

The pizza made it into the Guinness World Records, and was donated to charity.

The pizza makers in Naples beat the last record, made by chefs at the Expo in Milan last year.
