America bagged three more golds at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Portland, Oregon, with some eye-catching performances.

Trayvon Bromell led the way with a blistering 60 metre sprint, clocking 6.47 seconds ahead of favourite Asafa Powell, and signalling to the world’s sprinting big guns that he will be a force to reckon with at this summer’s Rio olympics.

Nia Ali led a US one-two in the 60 metre womens’ hurdles, with Britain’s Tiffany Porter taking bronze.

And in the women’s long jump Brittney Reese, the 2012 Olympic champion, claimed a sixth world title with a leap of 7.22, keeping the crowd on edge until her very last attempt. Britain’s Lorraine Ugen took bronze.
