Sir Elton John has gone from Rocket Man to Racket Man after the pop legend took part in his annual charity tennis co,petition in support of John’s Aids Foundation.

The singer songwriter joined forces with Martina Navratilova at the makeshift stadium in the parking lot of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and much to the delight of the fans defeated Steffi Graf and her husband Andre Agassi in the opening mixed doubles match.

Despite being surrounded by three of the Game’s finest the 68-year-old got stuck into the action and thrilled the crowd with a few winners.

Among other stars to feature at the event were tennis stars Andy Roddick, James Blake, Mardy Fish and Sir Elton’s long-time friend and co-host Billie Jean King.
