Saul Saldana was filmed by his daughter Viviana, who posted videos to social media. In the clips, Saul is seen diving into the water a number of times as he attempts to capture the fish, which swam inside when the family opened the back door of the house in an attempt to let out water that had inundated the residence.

Elsewhere in Houston, the result of the flooding was more serious: the National Weather Service warned that “this event is unprecedented”.
