Video. Spanish police remove over 3,000 migrants from Ceuta beach camp

Police dismantle a migrant camp on Ceuta’s Trampolín Beach, moving over 3,000 people from tents to a temporary reception centre for processing.

Police began dismantling a migrant settlement on Trampolín Beach in Ceuta on Sunday, escorting people onto buses as officers in riot gear moved through the crowded site.

More than 3,000 migrants have reportedly been living there for weeks in hundreds of tents, often sleeping on cardboard sheets.

The operation involves the National Police, Civil Guard, local police and the Ceuta General Command.

Those removed from the beach are being taken by bus to the CATE temporary reception centre for initial police processing.
