A German website has caused controversy in Germany after taking data of possible extremists by using a mask and then exposing them.
ADVERTISEMENTA website in Germany created a platform for people to denounce their neo-Nazi acquaintances, which has caused a stir over data privacy laws in the country.
The website turned out to be a honeypot engineered to get members of the far-right to reveal themselves by entering their data if they wanted to see if they were listed.

German MEP Bernd Kölmel, appearing on Euronews' Raw Politics programme, said it was "unacceptable what this organisation did".
Adding that it would "polarise the whole society" as it would be a "scandal" if the same was done to the far left.
Kölmel also said that it should be the responsibility of the state to find those who had committed racist crimes.
Director of data and polling at Rasmussen Global, Nina Schick, said that "if its (the website's) aim is to expose Neo-Nazis, it'll have the opposite effect".
While Politico's chief Brussels correspondent, David Herszenhorn, told the show the incident sends a strong message to the German government that there is a demand for more to be done to tackle extremist groups.
