NATO and the EU have signed a deal aimed at boosting cooperation on defence.

The two organisations will look to work more closely on hybrid warfare, migration, and cyber security.

Experts say the move should help both NATO and the EU ovecome past difficulties in working together.

“We had all these squabbles between Cyprus and Turkey which paralysed basically cooperation between two organisations in which almost the same members sit, which led to unnecessary duplication and unwise use of some resources,” said Marcin Zaborowski of the Center for European Policy Analysis.

The signing of the accord came at a summit in Warsaw, Poland where NATO countries are meeting today and Saturday.
