Human trafficking is a crime against humanity, yet it is on the rise globally, not least in Europe. The main victims of this appalling crime are young women and girls, enslaved and exploited for sex.

Euronews’ Isabelle Kumar hosts a debate to try to understand why in the 21st Century this continues to be such a huge problem. She is joined by Myria Vassiliadou, the EU’s anti-trafficking coordinator, and Toos Heemskerg, who works in Amsterdam with anti-trafficking charity ‘Not for sale.’ That’s this week in On the Frontline.
