Alongside the glitz and glamour, Paris Fashion Week is also the place to discover emerging talents. And Christophe Guillarmé is one of them. Born in Antibes and based in Paris, the 40 year old French designer’s ultra feminine collections combine Haute Couture with Glam Rock making him a regular at fashion weeks around the world.
A fan of bright tones, he showcases turquoise blue printed with flower petals and shocking pink with a stylized rose print. The silhouettes are carefully executed with everything from the strapless mermaid to glamorous evening wear both long and short including a passionate red evening gown studded with stars.
“My style is noticeable at the first sight. I’m a real keeper of traditional creative approaches and exquisite finishing,” explains Guillarmé. “My ultra feminine style shows the contemporary way of creating glamorous icons.”
Aptly named, Norma Jean as a tribute to Hollywood’s most famous blond, Marilyn Monroe, this is 1950s glamour meets the Glitter rock of the 1970s to highlight Guillarmé‘s vision of femininity for today’s women.
