Giambattista Valli showed his latest collection at Paris Fashion Week and celebrated a decade in the business.

The collection is all about the “extraordinary” and “eccentric, according to the designer.

American actress Jessica Alba is a fan of Valli’s elegant designs: “I’m more of a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl most of the time, so it’s nice to dress up, the tailoring is just beautiful, it’s exquisite, and I always feel really feminine and gorgeous in his clothes.”

Giambattista Valli heaped praise on his team and emphasised that a collection is a collective effort:” I have ideas but the artist it’s not me. The artist it’s all my ateliers. You know, it’s all the people working around. It’s like – everybody. the atelier of the embroidery, the atelier of the fabrics, my atelier that stitched the art we’re making all together.”

Dior’s Couture show, set in the garden of the Rodin museum in Paris, provided a perfect venue for a show inspired by Flemish masters.

Among the 57 outfits showcased in the collection, models were decked out in long oversized coats or capes with silk linings, flared dresses with pastel prints or adorned with jewellery worn on knitted tops.
