Getting to grips with the EU food supply chain

Directorate General for Health & Food Safety

Challenge

The European Union set out to make noise about championing food sustainability across Europe, aiming to engage and inspire European consumers and stakeholders in the agricultural sector and beyond.

Concept

Euronews created “Farm to Fork,” an on-air and digital series of six magazines shining a light on the transformation of Europe’s agricultural sector at the heart of the EU Green Deal.

From cutting pesticides in farming and improving animal welfare standards, to processing, packaging, and avoiding food waste, “Farm to Fork” reports on inspiring initiatives and success stories across Europe.

Campaign

TV
Euronews produced 4-minute episodes broadcast in 9 language editions. A 1-minute long brand film produced by Euronews’ in-house studio Embrace was also broadcast in English and subtitled French, German and Italian. We ran a supportive TV campaign including 30” and 60” TV spots on Euronews English, which were subtitled in French, German and Italian.

Digital
A dedicated section on euronews.com hosting all episodes also made available on Euronews YouTube and Dailymotion channels.

Social media
The campaign was heavily promoted across Euronews accounts through engagement boosts.
