At the World Travel Market 2015 in London, the leading event for the global travel industry, euronews spoke to G. Sathyavathi, Director of the Department of Tourism at the Indian state of Karnataka about the region’s diverse tourism offer.
The hospitality you get in India you don’t get anywhere. So once they come and experience they will definitely want to come back again and again and again. I do not compete with other states, India is one and we need to complement each other. That is our strategy. In fact, I run a train called the Golden Chariot. It is the only train in the Southern Peninsula, which goes through Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu because we want to give the tourists a seamless travel and experience.
