BP was the standout gainer on the FTSE100 on Tuesday thanks to its better-than-expected results.
In the third quarter, the British oil company’s net profit increased by nearly eight percent year-on-year, after losses in the previous quarter.
BP plans to raise its dividend to shareholders which was seen by investors as a sign of restored confidence.
