Italian academics who have left the UK over concerns about their immigration status after Brexit have warned the country may face a brain drain and a decline in funding

Italian academics say they fear for the future of their fields in the UK after leaving the country over Brexit.

Several academics, working in economics, law and science, have told Euronews the UK's universities are at risk of losing their world class reputation for research if harsh immigration rules mean they cannot recruit staff from abroad.
