Comparisons are already being drawn between this week's European hot spell and the 2003 heatwave that claimed more than 19,000 lives in France — mostly elderly people.

Alex Morgan at #TheCube asks Dr Dann Mitchell of Bristol University, who studies climate change and extreme weather, if those comparisons are valid and whether the lessons have been learned of that deadly summer.
