While many are celebrating New Year's Eve with countdowns and fireworks, at a temple in suburban Bangkok worshippers lay inside coffins and took part in traditional funeral rituals.
Participants believe the ceremony, which symbolises death and rebirth, helps them get rid of bad luck and be born again for a fresh start in the New Year.
