Raw Politics: are politicians at growing risk of physical violence?
A violent incident this weekend in Italy has some people questioning how safe it is to be a politician.
MEP Eleonora Forenza and her assistant Antonio Perillo were attacked and later hospitalized.
Members of the far-right Italian group CasaPound- allegedly armed with bats and chains - stormed an anti-racism demonstration on Friday night and reportedly targeted the far-left politician.
Her assistant's condition was said to be 'serious'.
The incident comes just days before Brussels is to unveil Jo Cox Square, in honour of the UK politician who was murdered by a member of the far-right in the run-up to the Brexit referendum in 2016.
