€1.6 billion payout seen as good result for the bank
Barclays is pay €1.6 billion to settle claims from investors who bought toxic mortgage-backed securities in the run-up to the 2007 financial crisis, the US Justice Department has said.
The settlement is below market expectations and analysts says it's a good result for the bank.
