But this hasn't meant people aren't taking advantage of the unusual weather.
Video’s posted on social media showed the ways people have been enjoying themselves – including skiing behind cars.
Last year's popular trick of watching boiling water instantly freeze has been popular.
Those brave enough have even been driving into the snow drifts.
