While for German fans it is normal to play in the biggest football events, for the fans of Chile the fact that their national team is in the final of the Confederations cup is a big deal. At least 12,000 supporters have come all the way to St Petersburg in the hope that their team will win.

“We are all here with great joy and hope and we are living a fiesta, a Latin American fiesta!” said one fan.

“Today we are going to win this tournament. We have already won two Copa Americas and this is our next step to try to win the World Cup one day,” said another.

“Nika the bear has predicted a victory for Germany but these people have another idea,” reports euronews’ Galina Polonskaya .
