At least thirteen people have died after severe storms brought flooding to America’s Midwest. Worst affected have been the states of Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas.

Tornadoes have ripped through the region leaving homes and neighbourhoods in ruins. Flash flooding warnings have been issued.

The heavy rainfall is expected to continue as the weather front moves east.
