Syria's National Defence Forces said the attack struck its military camp in the countryside of Quneitra, which sits near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

An Israeli attack against a pro-government military base in Syria has killed three militia.

Syria’s National Defence Forces said the attack struck its military camp in the countryside of Quneitra, which sits near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Israel has carried out air strikes or fired mortar rounds during the six-year war in Syria, often in response to the occasional spillover, including stray shells from fighting among Syrian factions.

It is unknown if the attack was carried out with artillery fire or if it is a bombing, the Syrian Human Rights Watch said

The victims belong to the National Defence Forces, a Syrian militia loyal to President Bachar al Asad, according to the observatory.

The Syrian official media have not confirmed the attack.

And from Jerusalem, the Israeli army declined to comment on the incident.
