The San Antonio Spurs continued their mini season revival with victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.

With early season injuries to key starters, such as Tony Parker and Danny Green combined with new additions to the roster including Pau Gasol, David Lee and Dewayne Dedmon developing chemistry quickly has proved tricky.

But playing with the entire team for the first time this campaign – the Spurs clicked – much to the delight of their travelling support.

Five San Antonio players scored in double figures.

Kawhi Leonard scored 20, LaMarcus Aldridge and Tony Parker 16 apiece while Pau Gasol added 15 points and veteran Manu Ginobili 12 as the Spurs held off the Rockets 106-100.

The Spurs won their first four fixtures of the season, but last week suffered consecutive defeats against the LA Clippers and the Rockets both games on home court in Texas.

The win over the Rockets this time out, however, is their second success on the bounce after also defeating the Pistons on Friday.

Coach Gregg Popovich and his men are now seven wins and three defeats for the season and are third in the Western Conference behind the Clippers and Golden State.

Their next game is a home tie against the The Miami Heat on Monday.
