The country’s online tax portal, MyMinfin, where individuals and businesses can manage tax returns and other financial documents, has been temporarily taken offline alongside several other online services as a precaution while officials investigate and secure their systems.

FOD Financiën said it would extend some upcoming tax filing deadlines affected by the disruption, with new dates to be announced.

The agency said that there had so far been no indications that anyone's personal data had been breached or compromised, but that it was still being investigated.
