The policeman, from London’s Metropolitan police smashes his baton multiple times against the vehicle’s side and front windows before using a pocket knife to cut through the glass.

All the time, the man inside is insisting he has done nothing wrong. A statement on the Met Police’s website said an investigation has been launched but that the officer believed the driver of the car could have been a wanted man.
In fact, the force admitted, this turned out not to be the case.
