The 2016-17 Champions League draw for the group stage took place in Monaco on Thursday as Europe’s elite eagerly waited to see who would stand between them and the iconic trophy.

Manchester City’s unhappy knack of being handed tough draws continued as they were placed into a group alongside Spanish giants FC Barcelona, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Celtic.

The Premier League’s other entrants could be more content, even though Arsenal will face Paris Saint Germain in Group A. Swiss side Basel and Ludogorets from Bulgaria will also take on Arsene Wenger’s side.

Leicester fans might consider themselves lucky – they were drawn against Porto, Club Brugge and FC Copenhagen while Tottenham were pitted against CSKA Moskva, Leverkusen and Monaco in Group E.

The first matches will be played on 13 and 14 September.

Here are all the groups:

Group A – Paris, Arsenal, Basel, Ludogorets
Group B – Benfica, Napoli, Dynamo Kyiv, Beşiktaş
Group C – Barcelona, Manchester City, Mönchengladbach, Celtic
Group D – Bayern, Atlético, PSV, Rostov
Group E – CSKA Moskva, Leverkusen, Tottenham, Monaco
Group F – Real Madrid, Dortmund, Sporting CP, Legia
Group G – Leicester, Porto, Club Brugge, København
Group H – Juventus, Sevilla, Lyon, Dinamo Zagreb
