These biologists wander around northern Sweden…

… to study how subarctic plants survive in this extreme environment.

Colour of the flowers is one of those survival mechanisms.

Flowers boast more colours when bumblebees are their main pollinators.

If pollinators are mainly flies, flowers tend to be merely white or yellow.

And these researchers have come well above the Arctic Circle to study if the same pattern reproduces here.
