Some 46 people have been linked to four of New York’s five major Mafia outfits. Most were arrested in the city, others in New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts an Florida. Prosecutors say three suspects remain at large.
Ranging in age from from 24 to 80, the alleged mobsters walked out of court after a hearing on Thursday, August 5. It is considered among the largest Mafia-related busts in recent years.
