German watchdog probes former VW board

The German financial watchdog has filed a complaint against the entire former board of Volkswagen over possible market manipulation.
The file is linked to the car makers emissions scandal.
German prosecutors said investigations have been opened into former Chief Executive Martin Winterkorn and another board member, who has not been named.

Prosecutors claim there are indications that VW was aware of the potential financial damage of its manipulations,
before it went public
and admitted its wrongdoings in September.
