The observational skills and quick-wits of a policeman in the Chinese city of Hangzhou have potentially saved dozens of lives. He put cones out immediately after spotting a crack on the ground at a busy crossroads.
A couple of minutes afterwards, CCTV footage covering the road in the eastern Zhejiang Province appears to show the ground caving in to reveal a two-metre-deep sinkhole.
No casualties were reported but an investigation is underway.
