EU and Cuba agree to normalise relations

The European Union and Cuba have signed an agreement in Havana to normalise relations. The deal paves the way for the bloc to establish full economic cooperation and aid with the Communist-run Caribbean island.

In February Cuba and the US agreed to restore passenger flights between the two countries.
