Advertisers and Women's Day: the struggle to get the message right

When it comes to defending the rights of women, and empowering them in society, a large part of the struggle is over the image portrayed in the media. Advertisers, for example, have a huge role to play in making sure that stereotypes and misconceptions are not reinforced and passed on to future generations. But even on International Women’s Day companies and their advertising agencies seem lost when it comes to finding the right message. And many just simply use the day to sell more products.
