Argentine champions Boca Juniors have appointed former player Barros Schelotto as their new coach following Monday’s sacking of Rodolfo Arruabarrena.
Schelotto, an idol at Boca where he won a string of titles as a striker, has signed an 18-month deal but faces a baptism of fire with his first two games in charge against arch rivals Racing Club and River Plate.
At the club the 42-year-old will be assisted by his twin brother Gustavo.
