The Utah Jazz extended their season-best winning streak to seven games on Tuesday night after a thrilling overtime victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

In a very tight game where both teams were neck and neck throughout, Rodney Hood proved crucial for the Jazz in the dying seconds of regulation.

His cool three-pointer sent the contest into overtime with the teams tied at 110 apiece.

As expected overtime was also a close encounter with Chandler Parsons – who led Dallas with 24 points – hitting a crucial three-pointer himself to level the scores at 119 each with just over a minute and a half left.

Gordon Hayward, however, turned out to be the Jazz hero as he hit a buzzer-beating fadeaway jump shot to hand the his side a 121-119 victory and Dallas their second straight overtime defeat.
