The skippers of six nations rugby teams gathered at the Hurlingham Club in London on Wednesday for the traditional captain’s photo call and launch of the new edition of the tournament which begins on February 6.

Scotland’s Greig Laidlaw, Wales’Sam Warburton, Italy’s Sergio Parisse, Ireland’s Rory Best, England’s Dylan Hartley and French skipper Guilhem Guirado were all present for the roll call as the class of 2016 prepare to do battle on the fields of Europe.

The first weekend of matches sees France entertain Italy, England travel to Scotland and defending champions Ireland host Wales.
