Migrant killed near Tunnel amid mass attempt to cross channel

A migrant was crushed to death by a lorry as police struggled to prevent at least 1,500 attempts to illegally access the Channel Tunnel last night.
A Sudanese man, thought to be in his mid 20s, was killed – the ninth death around the Tunnel since June.
UK prime minister David Cameron said yesterday he was “very worried” by a new upturn in the number of people trying to cross into Britain.
