Police arrested Charleston shooting suspect Dylann Roof on Thursday (June 18) in Shelby, North Carolina.
This dashboard video captures the moment of his arrest by police. “He was very quiet, very calm. He didn’t talk,” Shelby Police Chief Jeff Ledford told local media on Friday. “He sat down here very quietly. He was not problematic.”
Attached to the front of Roof’s black Hyundai sedan was a Confederate States of America plate.
Roof had been fleeing authorities for more than 16 hours before he was pulled over.
